Spiderweb Soup

Spiderweb Soup is a fun and easy way to get into the Halloween spirit!  Not only does turn an ordinary bowl of soup into something beautiful, but it’s also a great way to introduce little ones to new foods!

For my web, I use plain non-fat yogurt, but you can always add a little vanilla and honey to it if you are going to use a squash soup or some chili to mix for any of the soups.  Get creative!

Pureed Soup (butternut squash, roasted pepper or tomato work best)

Plain, nonfat yogurt

Plastic spiders

Directions:

Heat soup according to package instructions. Place soup in serving bowls. Place yogurt in piping bag and make spiral pattern working your way from the center to the edge of the bowl. Next, drag a toothpick through the spiral from the center out to the edge. Continue dragging every inch around the bowl until you have a spider-web design. Place plastic spider on rim of soup bowl.
