Sesame Stir-Fried Asparagus

While I love the classic flavors of garlic roasted asparagus, this dish is a nice change up for your weeknight meals!

Sesame Stir-Fried Asparagus

1 lb. asparagus spears, woody ends trimmed off

1 Tbsp. sesame oil

1 clove garlic

2 Tbsp. soy sauce

2 tsp. sugar

2 Tbsp. sesame seeds

Directions:

In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce and sugar.

In a large saute pan over high heat, heat the sesame oil until shimmering and add garlic. Stir for 30 seconds.

Add asparagus and fry until crisp tender, rolling spears as needed, for about 3-4 minutes.

Add soy sauce mixture and continue to fry on high heat until liquid is mostly dissolved and asparagus is tender, about 1-2 more minutes.

Remove from heat and garnish with sesame seeds.
