Pepperoni Pizza Pasta Skillet

One thing my kids always love to eat for lunch or dinner is Hamburger Helper.  Yes….I serve them Hamburger Helper and we all love it!  Last night, however, I was in need of something fast for dinner and didn’t have any plans, or boxes of “inspiration” in my pantry.  No worries, though!  I created a dinner the kids loved!  In fact, as if they are just not realizing that I know how to cook, they kept saying “you made this???  for real”  I don’t know if I should be insulted or flattered?  Haha.  Oh well……..kids, right?

In a large skillet, saute the ground beef, diced onion, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and chili flake until the beef is cooked through and the onions are tender.  Add the tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, water, and pasta.  Stir and bring to a boil.  Add the pepperoni, reduce heat to low and simmer until pasta is cooked through, about 20 minutes.  Stir occasionally during cooking.  Add the shredded mozzarella and stir until it is melted.  Serves 6-8.
