Truth be told, you can dip pretty much anything in pancake batter, deep-fry it and create a delicious treat. A few of my faves are deep-fried Oreos, Snickers bars, and apple slices, but my absolute, without questions favorite is deep fried cookie dough! (I might have had my husband make these a few too many times when I was pregnant!)
Deep Fried Cookie Dough
1.5 cups cookie dough, store-bought
1.5 cups prepared pancake batter
Peanut oil for frying
¼ cup powdered sugar for dusting
Directions:
Roll tablespoons full of cookie dough into balls and chill in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours. Preheat peanut oil to 375 degrees. Dip cookie dough balls into pancake batter and gently place into the hot oil. Let cook for 45 seconds to 1 minute. Remove from oil, drain on paper towel lined plate and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
